Its a three step process, but before all that we must have true desire and real intent to act on what is learned. The first step is to study it out. As a missionary for the LDS church i teach and people to read and study the Book Of Mormom and Joseph Smith. If you truly what to know the truth of these thing you will read the book of Mormon. After and during study you must ponder or think about. Pondering and listening to spirit invites the Holy Ghost and revealation by it.
The last step in one of the most powerful resouche we have on these earth, i speak of pray. If you ask Heavanly Father in prayer, you cna recive an answer from Him through the Holy Ghost. Some may wonder what is the right way to pray. Here is simple outline of how christ taught to pray.
How Do i Pray?
- Address your Heavenly Father. ( like starting with saying, "dear Heavenly Father").
- Express the feeling of your heart (gratitude, questions, request to confirm the truth of the Book Of Mormon and of Joseph Smith being Called to a prophet in morden days).
- Close( "in the name of Jesus Christ, amen").
- make your pray meaningful. With real intent of heart it profiteth him nothing to pray, pray with energy of heart and mind, and avoid vain reptitions
- use language that shows love, respect, reverence, and closeness. using scripture words like thee, thou, thy, and thine
- always give thanks to yoru Heavenly Father. take time to remember and thank God for all that all he has done for you.
- seek Heavenly Father's guidandce and stergth in all you do. He loves us all and want to help us in all our doings
- remember the needs of others as you pray. people all around us need help. if any thing we can pray for them
- Seek the guidance for the holy ghost so you will know what to include in your prayers. the holy ghost can help know what to say, just stop and listen to feeling of your heart
- when you make request throught prayer, do all you can to assist in its being granted. If you have difficult task before you, Heavenly Father is pleased when you get on yours knees and ask for help and then get on your feet and go to work
